Odaiba was built on landfill in Tokyo Bay and developed through the 1990s with a distinct, spread-out, car-and-monorail layout that feels different from anywhere else on this list. It's a good half-day add-on rather than a full day: shopping malls, a life-size Gundam statue, a hot spring theme park, and bay views back toward central Tokyo.
